一部類似電影《D - 9 異形禁區》（District 9）的外星人題材科幻劇（其實更像《E 星戀》），故事創意來自一位西班牙制片人。數百名人形外星人困在地球上，為了防止出現意外，人類決定建立外星人定居點對他們進行集中看管（事實上是種族隔離、集中營）。10 年之後，人類決定啟動一項特殊的「高中教育項目」，嘗試讓 9 名外星少男少女去一所人類的郊區中學讀書，看他們是否能融入人類社會。毫無疑問，雙方的偏見和生物固有的「競爭意識」讓整個計劃變得更加復雜，而人類女孩 Emery（Aimee Teegarden）和外星男孩 Roman（Matt Lante）的戀情可能成為影響人類和外星人和平共存的關鍵——他們要麼成為救世主，要麼成為毀掉兩個物種的罪人。
