Maitland McDonagh · TV Guide Magazine 60.00/100.00
An acid-dipped valentine to the sometimes seedy magic of movies.
Dave Kehr · The New York Times 50.00/100.00
Entirely too well-behaved.
Jorge Morales · Village Voice 60.00/100.00
Though the high-noon climax drags somewhat, Álex de la Iglesia's charming comedy celebrates the resilient power of dreams, memories, and the movies.
Jonathan Holland · Variety 50.00/100.00
An uneven but exuberantly anarchic comedy homage to the spaghetti Western.
Kevin Crust · Los Angeles Times 40.00/100.00
It thinks it's cute, but it's as charming as an old drunk going on about how he knew Eastwood back in the day.

Quizás la película mas infravalorada de Álex. El tono cómico entre la relación del abuelo con el niño está muy acertada y la película se muestra entretenida de principio a fin. Alocada y disparatada, no esperéis un western, es un comedia dentro del cine.
