American Ninja 2: The Confrontation (1987)

This one is superior in almost every respect to the first, with slam-bang action, many humorous moments, and an excellent performance by Steve James.

Sam Firstenberg--a decent enough action director who's shepherded along three previous ninja movies--here has a story so preposterous that nothing short of a mutiny could make the movie work.

Script by actors Gary Conway (who plays the narcotics overlord) and James Booth trades heavily upon the notion of Americans inherent mental and physical superiority to native warriors, who are a dime a dozen, but in such a comic way that the viewer can laugh with it rather than at it.

In the Cannon Films esthetic, the only good Ninja is a dead Ninja, and the bodies certainly fly fast and furious here. Okay, it's silly, but maybe you were expecting Tess of the D'Ubervilles? And from a director named Sam Firstenberg?

第一部黑帮老大走私军火，本部黑帮老大贩卖毒品，他们豢养了一批忍者作为私人武装，后者还投巨资研究基因工程企图培育成能量超大的忍者，俺有一点想不明白，这些黑帮老大是不是蠢啊，能量再大的忍者也是使用冷兵器的人体，那扛得住子弹，为何不豢养善使热兵器的杀手呢。乔如上部一样，仍采用忍术和冷兵器杀敌，虽然他是一名军人，他的最佳拍档杰克森同样的，他俩也算是黑白配了。7.1分。

作为一部80年代的B级动作片，导演将文戏简化到极致，穿插了大量的搏斗场面，只不过用今天的眼光来看，这些动作的编排实在是太粗糙了！套招过于明显，如果当时能邀请到香港武指合作，效果一定好很多。除了搏斗场面以外，还有众多的爆炸、追车戏，比较硬核的一场是“反派忍者追逐皮卡车”的桥段，全是实拍，这种武行放在今天实在是凤毛麟角！ 四星7.0分。娱乐性和可看性还算不错！是我童年的美好回忆！

距离看第一部已经过去七年，不过仍能感觉到续集保持了相应的节奏和噱头，作为B级片看起来有相当的娱乐效果，但也不可否认是这两天补过的动作效果最差劲的电影，全员假人慢打模式，中间也时不时穿插着对成龙和李小龙的拙劣模仿。看着导演安排一群黑衣忍者穿行于光天化日之下实在太难绷了。粗糙出如此娱乐效果但同时不忘兼有爆破和追逐等大特技场面，看一眼片头打出的“加农出品”字样，一切都说得通了。

身为续集不算太差。

6.2/10 动作上没有第一部流畅，这部的忍者BOSS打不过就摸出来一把散弹枪，再加上拿自己人试刀，简直人间之屑。

BSC频道HD中字90分钟，那个年代西片武打通病，武指太差啊！

和1比差太多了

2018-5-27 仅仅是因为小时候看过第一集，所以才看的这第二集。比第一集稍微好看一点点。

一部有着浓厚东方色彩的美国忍者电影，在众多忍者电影中，这个系列的忍者片还是不错的。男主角乔是一位正派忍者，扮演着维护社会和平，抗击强敌的角色；搭档杰克森成了喜剧武打演员，在跟忍者撕斗时打斗很是滑稽，可能是出于他黑色皮肤，一身肌肉，导演有意跟乔的正面形象成鲜明对比。

开始走下坡路的一部，不过被拆车的那一段挺好玩的~
