Dhoom: 3 has — by far — the best action set pieces of the series.
A very silly action movie that can keep you sort of occupied for more than two and a half hours. It also tries to be funny; it fails at that. It tries to be thought-provoking; it blows at that. It's very equal to the quality of the second Dhoom movie; while the second one has bad acting and bad writing and is kind of cheesy; the third one... has bad acting and bad writing and is kind of cheesy.
“Dhoom 3” is very much the Aamir Khan show.
