This excellent debut feature from Ben Leonberg may be unique among horror films in fairly attracting the compound adjectives “deeply unsettling” and “utterly adorable”.
恐怖氛围是人工营造的，恐怖的黑色人形未知生物也是，通过将未知的恐惧和男主角的绝症并行，死亡的虚实都有了。全程通过狗子的视角去观看和感知，少了人类的参与倒是更沉浸了。我觉得无论是对恐怖因素还是绝症都可以再写得详细一些，毕竟这么看下来你会默认这是对绝症带来的死亡不断逼近的一种具象化，但其实也可以将这种东西写得更飘渺一些，不单单指代具体的绝症导致阿死亡，可以指向鬼魂、鬼怪和不明生物，包括祖父的死因、鬼屋的来源。
