Ma (2019)

The greatest pleasure the movie has to offer is a chance to watch Spencer perform completely unhinged and relish every moment doing so.

Many years ago, an acquaintance of mine said “Who needs good art when you’ve got great trash” and that applies here. Although I would stop short of calling this a “gem,” it is at times creepily effective, at least during its first three-fourths. As the film approaches its climax, it loses some of its uniqueness but there’s plenty to like about it before it starts to feel overly familiar.

This time, the over-the-top craziness that Spencer slyly serves up fills more than just a pie plate.

Ma may not cover entirely new ground, but the execution still manages to be refreshing.

Audiences will walk out with that good chiropractor feeling, the one that says, “Yes, I have been manipulated. I have been nothing but manipulated and pounded on for the past 90 minutes. And it was a very satisfying thing.”

Even as the story descends into full bloody camp at its crescendo, Spencer holds the more ludicrous plot threads together.

Between the exhilaration of great movies and the disappointment of bad ones lie the particular pleasures of trash. Ma isn’t a bad movie, and it’s sure as hell not trying to be a good one, but it scratches a particular itch that neither noble failures nor cranked-out hackwork can touch.

Campy and goofy, vicious and bloody, if that sounds like a good time, you might have a lot of fun partying with Ma, even if you won’t remember much tomorrow.

Ma is one loony little horror film, and Octavia Spencer has a grand old time being the craziest thing in it.

There are times when Spencer’s character feels less subversive and more like a gonzo Annie Wilkes from Misery; it’s clear that the filmmakers understand how to write Sue Ann in opposition to tropes, less clear that they know how to turn that into something meaningful.

有点太雷声大雨点小了，Ma前头看着那么诡异，我们观众小朋友早都搬了板凳坐在电视机前等着看电影里的小年轻怎么被虐呢，结果这就完了啊?

同情马大姐，但挺好的题材怎么拍这么稀烂啊，马大姐一天天都干什么事情了，除了撞死一个女人，其他报复手段毫无看点。最惊悚恐怖的地方是卢克·伊万斯突然露丁丁（估计是假的，这都什么跟什么啊。马大姐骗女儿生病吃药坐轮椅就是恶行的剧情嘛

看预告片还以为马大姐有点什么本事。结果是这么个没劲的故事。

马大姐和小鲜肉的吻引起一丝丝生理不适。。。

不太过瘾但还算有点意思，演员好。

大妈就只是想拍张化妆合影而已，也没有想杀人。卢克同志的JJ露出来的时候还是吓了一跳，虽然知道是假的……

豆瓣分好低，很可惜，我觉得还可以，不是那么那么差，故事基本上算是说通了。特别值得高中生一看。片中霸凌还有种族歧视在美国依然强烈存在。

谁写的剧本？？谁写的剧本？？出来挨打！！铺垫了老半天，等着刺激的地下室play，结果两分钟结束？敲两下门就被救出来了？？然后就完了？？就完了？？？除了spencer把有点偏执的变态演的挺到位，其他的真的是哭笑不得，和朋友笑死在电影院。

热心的马大姐背后的辛酸霸凌故事…

看完以后整个人就是：“……”😑😑😑这部比不上《我们》，不过也拍得也不算糟。虽然看到中间隐隐意识到了大妈所做的一切都是在复仇，也感受到了导演想抨击校园欺凌的意思，但是总感觉结局有点……可以3.5星。另外女主气质太好了，长得像俄罗斯人的男朋友也很帅。大妈居然是疯狂动物城的水獭夫人，演技很棒啊

这算是comedy thriller，还是很好笑的

“预告片比成片好看”那种电影。话说这个译名其实加个“闲人”二字也不违和，只因这大婶是真的看上去很闲：整天不务正业帮年纪不够的小年轻弄酒喝、开party，对得起“闲人马大姐”这个称号...其实前半段那种一步步推进的恐惧感还是很丰满的，就是透过闪回和现实逐步揭开了“马大姐”神经兮兮的原因之后，就有种cliche的感觉了...Emm...总之有些低于预期吧。PS：演女高中的女主很漂亮，之前的《高材生》里也有她，最近存在感很高啊。

谁搞的译名 充满了自以为是的幽默....

全片最jaw-dropping的moment只能是Luke Evans鹿鸟了，女主太美了几个小男生又帅又可爱，我都可以！

3.5/5 可能是近期布倫特恐怖公司產的作品中，最讓我感到毛骨悚然的一部 真的是恐怖大媽！奧莉維雅史班森這演技太恐怖了，路克伊凡斯又成為了女人的玩物，艾莉森珍妮那戲份其實不用請到她來XD
