米勒是直接把三十年代的老版台词套上来了吗?尴尬到无地自容，牧场物语还搞低配版《雷雨》情节剧就很三十年代talkie怀旧风啊…… 真应该让角色"闭嘴，好好拍动作戏和风景"。 段落跟段落靠硬转场的，戏又不够留白更说不上（他爸就这么死了）?还是后来修复时重新做的叠化? 本片几乎让我没什么阐释欲望。但居然有位澳洲学者从"马"的意象与澳洲电影文化的渊源出发写了一整本书，本片可以说就是那种"诗意"的图解版了（本来也是一首诗歌改编，马/人同构的文化，及对马的fetish估计也是从那来）。 值得称道的是老哥一人分饰兄弟二角?
