The show is so thought provoking on the idea of right and wrong or good and evil. With interesting characters who aren't perfect at all. I put ten but realistically I would have had a 9.6 due to issue with slightly worse after a certain important event occurs in the series. Overall good protagonists and antagonists too. Makes you feel smart even though it explains itself many times. Might make you want to become a detective though so warning there. But I'd recommend to everyone especially anime fans or people who love characters with huge egos and pride as much as I do. Go watch Death Note

Death Note was absolutely phenomenal for its time, an absolute 10/10 and a core memory for me as a teen. This show has had an immense cultural impact, and for good reason
near damn perfect enjoyble fun intresting what more can i say? even if you dont like anime give this one a chance trust me
Todo lo concerniente al canon del manga es un 10 de 10 hermosa y increíble serie el mejor anime de todos los tiempos
I LOVE IT! FOR ONCE A SERIES THAT IS ACTUALLY GOOD OMG I LOVE IT SO MUCHHHHHH
As someone 'not into anime', Death Note is a welcome exception to the rule. A dialogue-heavy psychological thriller with compelling characters, a side of Japanese folklore, and detective investigation, the show is a great cat-and-mouse detective show that feels very itself. Watching Light and L intellectually wrestle, gaining small conversational advantages over each other with every new meet was addictive, and I couldn't help but burn through a lot of the show in a single sitting. Death Note takes its time to establish the rules in the early episodes, before building to an explosive middle as the investigation into Light reaches a peak. I felt that Death Note loses a bit of steam after L's death, when his family of detectives take over the case. While it was interesting to see Light take over the role of L within the police, the stakes never truly felt as high again. Light's downfall felt less impactful due to a sluggish second half, but it didn't take away from the impression the show made on me. Super compelling concept, solid dialogue and execution of the concept, but suffers from too many episodes and 1-2 unsuccessful B-plots.
Best anime in my life and all time Dark but normally fun With interesting-very interesting plot
Greatest opening episodes in a show i have ever seen. wish is wasn't so short.
This one is a must see for eveyone who loves a great story and great characters. It shows one of the greatest intellect battles in a TV Show, on par with Holmes and Moriarty and shows how far one is willing to go, to do what one thinks it's the right thing. Do not miss this one!!
Starts off as an amazing show, but as the arcs progress it just gets worse. The entire third arc (second half of the manga) was clearly a rush job, though it still remains entertaining enough till the end.
Death Note is an exceptional story that poses profound questions about justice and murder, but it’s a dark psychological drama that isn’t intended for young anime fans.
Jest to dalej klejnot swojego gatunku z genialną intrygą kryminalną, kompleksem boga oraz starciem ambicji pomiędzy postaciami. I nie zestarzało się wcale
Light can easily be deafeated by vantablack paint. Or cover him with this paint, and he will be in a 5 ster wanted chaise.
One of the greatest anime made. Great characters, great music, and a great game of cat and mouse between L and Light. It has a very simple premise, but the show is able to do so much with it. Despite a controversial death that many in the fan base hate, I still stuck with the show and enjoyed myself. A must watch for anyone interested in anime, or good storytelling in general.
Goated anime. Good gateway anime to hook people onto these japanese cartoons
Death Note is one of the best animes I've had the opportunity to get my hands on, I dare say it's the best to represent investigation and suspense in the world of anime. The story is presented to us through a different perspective, we follow Light Yagami, the genius student of primitive sense of justice, but of profoundly advanced intellect, a chemical combination ready to explode when he puts his hands on the Death Note, thus bringing his vile ideas on the fate of criminals. But suddenly we are surprised by the triumphant appearance of the greatest detective in the world using the nickname of L, it is at this moment that the spectators start to change chairs, thinking again about which of them is right, who is the true justice. Now, as no work is free from criticism, I need to point out the biggest sin, in my opinion, in this anime. Close to the final stretch, we have L's death, to everyone's surprise, which in my opinion was a good decision, to the surprise of everyone reading here, I really felt his death, he fulfilled his role, moving with viewers' emotions, but this is where we go from positive to negative, the future consequences of L's death were bad for the work. We are introduced to the home where L grew up, there we meet Mihael Keehl (Mello) and Nate River (Near), who are about to continue the hunt for Kira, disputing over who will be L's successor, but unfortunately the work gives little development to both, especially for Mello, since their presentation was late, it was difficult to sympathize with them, I confess that I liked Mello more, since he follows a completely original ideology, different from Near, who is, practically, a clone from L, the difference is just the change in hair color (Sorry for the joke). Concluding my analysis, I comment on the end of the story, where Ryuk, Light's shinigami, takes his Death Note, as he had promised at the beginning of the story, ending the life of the false god Kira in a poetic way, just like the first name written in the Death Note was authored by Light, the last name closes the list with a golden key being his own name. We learned that alone we cannot change the world, that actions have consequences and that depending on the path we choose, we can have our stories ended prematurely, as wisely shown in the scene where Light is running, after Touta Matsuda shoots him, and can glimpse with his eyes how his life could have been different if he didn't have the Death Note. (Bonus comment) I want to declare that Touta Matsuda is one of the characters I had the most affection for in the work, he is extremely funny, serious when necessary and proved that he is indeed useful filling Kira with accurate shots, a true gunslinger!
Blown away! While a bit generous with its deductions it's a stunning show, one of the best I've seen in a while. A thrilling game of cat and mouse leads this show central story of life and death. It's focused, smart and stylish. Brilliant.
