Dora the Explorer2000

This show was quite the treat to watch as an expert linguist. And by this, I mean that the language was TERRIBLE. Half of the time children wouldn't know if Miss Dora was speaking French, Polish, or Spanish. The audience that this show caters to is made up of four-year-olds that were handed a phone so they would stop crying, not to nerds looking to expand their lexicon. Forsooth, I warn thou to refrain from viewing this show, although I did appreciate the originality of each episode, and how malleable Swiper was to Dora's every command. "Swiper, no swiping!" Of course, Swiper stops his evil actions, at least until the next episode, but he rethinks his life if for but a moment. Imagine if everyone just stopped trying to swipe your priceless picnic basket or random invention that is always found inside of backpack? Now that I think about it, that sentence sounds... quite strange. Is backpack a character or accessory? For his sake, and for the sake of where this is going, I hope he is the latter. I would love to have a friend like Boots. He never complains, does everything with Dora, and risks his life day in and day out. He truly is the best character on the show. It truly warms my heart when I see him standing up for the nasty scum that is Dora. I say bring in her cousin, Laura the Explorer, with Sniper-no-sniping and Socks. I think I could handle a whole show of that with ease.

I got to admit I like dora the explorer. My daughter got me into to watching this with her. It made for good quality time together.

This show is not very bad. This show is not my type. This is why my rating for the show is not a ten. Dora talks to the people watching the show. The show uses a cursor. I will not complain about anything.
