Hustle (2004)

Has the sharpness of the recent remakes of "Italian Job" and "Ocean's Eleven."

"Crumbs" elicits laughs from time to time, but given the subject matter, I still think this particular story would have been better told as a comedic drama than as the occasionally dramatic comedy that it is.

Stylish, intricate and entertaining.

The show has loads of energy and charm, which is a necessity for a series whose storylines are not only implausible but, at times, not even remotely believable.

Once you get past the relatively stiff opening episode and everyone relaxes and starts having fun, "Hustle" is an undemanding good time that manages to rack your nerves even when you know better.

This is good fun -- not necessarily substantial, but fun nonetheless.

It's a fluffy hour of flimflam, spun with silk and told with a wink.

Perhaps the most glorious Masterpiece Theater of all time.
