With her [Rachel Sennott's] deadpan humor and penchant for embodying messy young women who are their own worst enemies, she’s concocted a fitting love letter to this aggressively sunny city.

AbbagailM 3.00/10.00

If Rachel Sennott read this review she would say I'm just a loser cynic who doesn't get her writing, but reality is, this is poorly written, not at all funny or clever, and only "relatable" if your parents own large assets abroad. One moment the main character is sipping latte's (mid day, in los angeles, while also claiming to be a "working woman in her twenties") wearing cheap thrifts (pandering to today's money strapped youth in a pathetic attempt) and then the next she's wearing designer. Um, sorry, what? Not to mention the dialogue which is absolutely diabolical - not funny at all even for Gen Z perspective. This is totally disjointed. A mess. Brain rot in TV show form. I wouldn't even have this show on as background noise. Simply turning it on deducts 20 IQ points.

Nicholas Quah · New York Magazine (Vulture) 80.00/100.00

Maia and Tallulah’s relationship gives the show a buoyant us-against-the-world energy, a sense of shared delusion and drive that powers both its comedy and its ache.
