Sam Loudermilk is a recovering alcoholic and substance abuse counselor with an extremely bad attitude about, well, everything. He is unapologetically uncensored, and manages to piss off everyone in his life. Although he has his drinking under control, Loudermilk discovers that when your life is a complete mess, getting clean is the easy part.

Often, it sidelines that more interesting show in favor of a curmudgeonly soapbox for cultural quibbles. Most of Loudermilk exists in the area between these too--it may not be an inventive comedy, but when it plays to its strengths, there’s enough here to like.

I liked this show more than I thought. I'm definetly not a film or TV show critic, in fact I usually don't watch TV because characters seem, "written" if that makes sense. Well this show had believable characters but also was interesting and kept me entertained. It was the most TV I've watched in years finishing the 3 seasons available.

Yes, the first episode of Loudermilk, on AT&T's Audience Network, is funny if overly intent on leaning hard on the "abuse counselor is abusive to everyone" schtick. But it's also well-written and engaging, which should get you to the second episode.
