That “See” is winding down to its conclusion is a bummer, given how the show has grown by leaps and bounds over its years, but it’s a credit to its future legacy that it knows when to call it a day. If the remainder of the season makes good on the promise in “Heavy Hangs the Crown,” then “See” will at least go out on a high note.
Awash with bloody, brutal violence, set against a meticulously crafted world, this is a storming continuation of one of TV’s most underappreciated shows.
It’s absolutely brutal, which obviously won’t appeal to all. At times, the general consensus of “See” feels earned: that it’s a discounted “Game of Thrones.” Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. But even if it were, what of it? Ultimately there’s really nothing new under the sun. You’re either entertained by it or your not. By and large, I was.
Last season’s restricted scope gave the series intimacy and wonder even in its most plodding moments. That scope having been expanded, the intimacy is gone, and wonder is harder to find. Still, “See” makes for good viewing, especially for one “Game of Thrones” knockoff among many.
Unfortunately, the story hasn’t caught up to the ambition of the production design in the first few episodes.
This mix of influences and eras is ultimately more confusing than it is cohesive. The verdant background offers a compelling counterpoint to most dystopias, which often imagine either a sterile, skyscraper-filled world or a desolate wasteland. But there are so many other standard dystopian ideas at play here as to rob that decision of its novelty.
That near-total lack of character investment is the biggest impediment to engaging with the series on an emotional level, but it’s also damned hard to engage with it intellectually, because See also doesn’t seem to know what it’s saying. ... Only three episodes were provided for critics, so it’s possible that this particular element of the story will grow more complex as the season progresses.
It’s compelling and immersive, promising a sci-fi/fantasy epic that will span a generational tale, filled with impressive battle scenes and a dystopian future world that’s rendered with a visually spectacular cinematic production value that gives the whole world a massive sense of scope. It’s also downright weird and goofy at times, deliciously so, sometimes bordering on campy and giddily dipping a toe right over the line in the midst of the high-concept drama.
“See” is much more invested in a simple survival story, mixing Knight’s typical self-serious writing with a bit of sci-fi fun. The balance isn’t quite there yet, as episodes don’t exactly earn their hourlong run time. Momoa, meanwhile, fits the role well.

An audacious series that successfully imagines a post-apocalyptic, feudal world in which humanity is blind. Every episode teems with surprising solutions for how society might continue to function, from everyday existence to extreme challenges, such as warfare. The cast is superb, and this might be Jason Momoa's best role, although he is only one of a very solid ensemble.
It was subpar even before Queen Kane started rubbing 1 out while praying, and then random carpet eating prayer session the next episode. The 1.5 episodes I made it through, made me feel dirty. How it has 3 seasons with such poor reviews has me baffled. No matter where the story goes from there, it will remain a mystery for me. Ive never left a TV Series or Movie Review anywhere, but felt compelled to advise everyone to skip this dumpster fire. Not safe for children to watch, I wouldnt even let my teenage children watch this due to the aforementioned scenes that added nothing to the content of the show other than making it gross on top of not being good.

Excellent show with some really fresh ideas. Not all of them work, but they are hard-carried on the massive shoulders of the Voss brothers, supported by a great ensemble cast. I'm not surprised the so-called critics disliked it, because this show cares not about teaching californian values or educating anyone on political agendas. They just wanna tell a fascinating story. I only wish Kofun wasn't such a simp from start to finish, but I guess they had to somehow compensate the testosterone overdose by Baba and Edo.

Есть такая поговорка: "В королевстве слепых, и одноглазый король", но в сериале два наших, уже поврослевших, героя об этом наверно и не знают совсем. Иначе объяснить нельзя, почему наши видящие близнецы не могут с помощью тех же самых луков и стрел разобраться с этими слепыми "Охотниками на ведьм". Могли бы их расстрелять с 20 метров, отбежать подальше и снова лук и стрелы, ведь передвигаются эти слепые охотники ну очень медленно, а сражаться могут метров с 5 максимум. И если растянули этот маразм на 3 сезона, то дальше думаю наши видящие блезнецы так и будут сражаться со слепыми врагами врукопашную. Опять же у людей здесь странные гены, так мать блондинка рожает близнецов, кареглазого мальчика и негpитянкy девочку. Вот как это? Её, что взводом дpючили что ли? Опять же все незрячие жители деревни и не только, упорно делают себе прически, красют волосы, бреют головы, крутят дреды. Вот для чего? Всё равно никто этого не увидит. Короче, если фильм был бы односерийным, ну тогда можно было бы посмотреть, а так следить за каким то сумасшествием 24 серии это увольте.
Excelente série. Boas atuações. Direção de arte e edição muito bem caprichado. E bem equilibrado o tempero de ação e drama e a cadência no desenrolar da história é bem formulada. Não era de se esperar menos do mesmo diretor de Constantine e Eu sou a Lenda. Pra quem gosta de boas premissas de futuros distópicos,é um prato cheio.
Much as the formula for “Dark Souls” seeped into video games that didn’t need clunky controls and insane difficulty, “Game of Thrones” has seeped into shows that didn’t need mass murder and overwrought drama. The premise and setting of “See” are enough. I enjoyed seeing how a blind populace makes their communities. I loved seeing a post apocalyptic humanity interact with the leftovers of our society. That should be enough. No spoilers but some characters have too much plot armor. Sometimes the audience needs some relief. Something that “Game of Thrones” did right was offer that kind catharsis, such as the misfortunes of Jamie Lannister. “See” is misguided in its intent on seeing certain characters make it to the end. For the core family of the show, I can understand. They have each other’s backs. For other characters, I don’t see it. It’s this kind of forceful storytelling that **** the joy out of an intriguing premise. The big star here is Jason Mamoa. Not only is he big in the literally sense, he is all-in on the emotionality and physicality of this role. As Mamoa crouches, feels the ground, and moves in sweeping motions, I believe that this is blind warrior. He gives off enough dad energy and husband energy to power a small town. This is the kind of character that drives a story, and perhaps the fault is in the writing of the other characters. They are merely along for Mamoa’s ride. If I had watched this alone, instead of with the family, I might have hit fast forward through the bits without Mamoa. No spoilers here: the end of season 3 tied up this story. (This isn’t a Netflix cancellation.) I could see a larger story that could have gone on for a few more seasons, but the reception of this show was what it was.
As TV show its FANTASTIC. I loved it so much, the lore is trully great. I felt it was very likely to Horizon in some way. My only problem with this tv show is the woke stuff, the pro-diversity message. Really, why do you need to ruin everything? Haniwa is one of the worst characters I saw in a TV Show. She represents all that the manipulated US society wants, black, lesbian, empowered woman. It is just vomitive. I would vote with a ten if not for that. There is no need of bombing us with political messages in our free time. For the rest, the show is GREAT.
This was incredibly well thought out. The fight scenes were amazing, and the acting was on point. I loved this show. I have watched the first season 3 times. From start to finish, this show kept me on the edge of my seat. Baba Voss is the stuff dreams are made of. Unless you are his enemy, then he is your worst nightmare. He has some really good quote-worthy lines. Wren and Haniwa love was as beautiful as Baba and Magrahs Sibith tho. Her acting skills are amazing.
So underrated show. Probably, biggest part of score are made by people, who even didn’t see the it. It’s a pity. The show has realistic story line, with twists and motivated characters, also there is a good picture, nice views of nature and work with scene. Besides, there is a thought and brutal fight choreography, for example, Baba uses some wrestling moves, those are very efficient! Also the show can remind us some moral basics: to love and protect our family, to respect disable people and that they are have feeling and thoughts and so much more. From the minuses I can tell about some plot armor for characters and some plot “holes”…but let’s remember our favorite TBB and GoT…There are always will be an authors sweet boy/girl like Jessie or John. It is time to be objective.
Season one was great season two was ok season three was amazing the world they show is detailed enough to make you believe they are all blind and it shows they thought about this alot in the characters movements and warfare excellent watch

Just started watching and good thing my child wasn't in the room there is no reason for the inappropriate sex that the queen did to her self .
As a fan of post apocalyptic shows and games this is a series that drew me in instantly. A lot of the characters you feel invested in whether you like them or not. The actress who plays the queen is superb (and evil) as is Jason Mamoa and the Witch Finder General. There are a few characters who grate on you but that is to be expected. The Visuals and music are amazing and the director/s should be applauded for the set design and general world building. Some of the story lines are watered down but there is always a back and forth of right and wrong which I think keeps you wondering what people will do next. A must watch if you are fan of the genre.
Season 2 is masterpiece. From soundtrack, visual effects in 4K to awesome story.
I would like to know who thought that the incredibly irritating voice of the queen would have been a great idea. She is alone keeping me away from a show that would have been otherwise decent.

Upon seeing the review scores for this series, all I can see that the "official critics" are idiots. This is an interesting TV series, the world and world building are extraordinary, costumes and details are great, acting also. Story was interesting and captivating with just the right amount of tension to keep the series going. I can't point to anything that would be out of place. I started out watching only 1 episode, and it was soo good, I just kept watching until I saw all. Compared to other series I saw this year, this is clearly one of the top 3 I saw in the past decade. Great idea, well executed. I hope for more, and luckily I'm not the only one, as I saw, this was renewed for at least 2 more seasons. For once, the talentless hacks call themselves movie critics couldn't ruin a show..
SEE is one of the best Sci-Fi series. The concept of Sci-Fi is fresh and unique and there is depth in the story that will explore more in the second season. The idea of the story is promising and has potential. I love the bloody action sequence performed by the great Jason Momoa aka Baba Voss. His character was too good. Some of the episodes were boring, no doubt i.e the scene with Magra and Kate. The story gets slow down there but it rises again in the last episode. I didn't like Queen Kate and Haniwa's character. The world development was just perfect. The costumes, soundtrack, action and the sceneries were too good. I'm waiting for the second season.
