Spice and Wolf (2008)

Holo is so likeable and intelligent and charming. And proud too. She is a very proud wolf-goddess. I would have been happy if the whole anime was just her and Lawrence talking as they travelled through their (very well realised) mediaeval world. As to the economics the show is known for, even someone as ignorant about the subject as myself could easily follow how things like supply and demand and replacing the coinage were weaved into the story. You need to concentrate on what's being said though. And on the subject of talking, this is one of those few animes where the dub adds something good to the experience. I really liked Brina Palencia as Holo. I hope more folk watch Spice and Wolf and read the manga because it deserves to be more widely known.
