Some moments are refreshingly improvised, and there are even small instances of actors breaking character to laugh at an unexpected comment. This helps make Tires feel fresh, inventive, and entirely present, even if some of its subject matter can be considered reductive.

The auto-repair comedy has made a significant improvement from its rocky start, but don’t be ready to buy everything it’s selling.

The latest round of Tires has a marked increase in confidence, and the likable performances are more energetic this time around.

It walks that fine line between mocking idiocy and being just plain stupid. I wouldn’t argue strongly with anyone who finds it irredeemably dumb, but I would also be lying if I didn’t admit to laughing at the fine line that Gillis and company walk here.

At six sitcom-length episodes (the shortest runs 18 minutes), Tires has a small-boned feel even before getting to how flat the jokes are.

The result awkwardly straddles Gillis’ DIY ethos and grander aspirations, a visibly shoestring production distributed by the world’s largest streaming service. Concise, crass and sporadically amusing, “Tires” seems unlikely to propel Gillis into a new echelon of establishment acclaim.

If you don’t find Gerben and Gillis’ juvenile, slightly retrograde brand of bro humor to be funny, that’s a recipe for tedium. If you do — and it can be amusing. .... But want for anything more, like emotional resonance or world-building or basic character development, and Tires is not your guy.

While we think there is room for Tires to grow into a decent and moderately funny workplace comedy, we don’t think there will be much of that growth during a six-episode first season. We may see a

“Tires” sometimes feels like a very good idea for a recurring sketch — one that might not have needed to become a series. But it did, and if the result isn’t exactly groundbreaking, it matters, perhaps, that it isn’t trying to be.

The show is predictably uneven, but when it works it’s hilarious.

(ENG) It has enough to entertain and get some laughs, but it also carries clear limitations that keep it from feeling truly big, the premise is simple and functional, and that very simplicity gives it part of its charm, what helps most is that it doesnt pretend to be more than it is, it works when it focuses on character dynamics, office humor, and that small, everyday chaos that feels like a mix of classic workplace sitcom and messier, lazier comedy, Shane Gillis makes good use of his comic personality, and the clash with Will's character creates genuinely funny moments, this makes the series easy to watch, it doesn’t demand much, it flows quickly, and it has that kind of comedy that connects if you enjoy awkward, immature humor about half failed people trying to get through the day, but its biggest issue is that at times it feels too light or unambitious, yes, its funny, but it doesnt always build characters or situations with enough depth to leave a mark, some scenes feel more like stretched sketches than a solid series, and if you dont connect with Shane Gillis's style much of the appeal fades, i wouldnt call it bad, more like a minor but effective comedy within its niche, simple, inconsistent, sometimes very funny and sometimes too basic._______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________(ESP) Tiene lo suficiente para entretener y sacarte varias risas, pero también arrastra limitaciones claras que impiden verla como algo realmente grande, la premisa es simple y funcional, y justamente esa sencillez le da parte de su encanto, lo que mas le favorece es que no pretende ser más de lo que es, funciona cuando se concentra en la dinámica entre personajes, en el humor de oficina y en esa energía de caos pequeño y cotidiano que recuerda un poco a una mezcla entre sitcom clásica de trabajo y comedia mas sucia y desganada, Shane Gillis explota bastante bien su propia personalidad cómica, y el choque con el personaje de Will genera momentos genuinamente graciosos, eso hace que la serie entre fácil, no exige mucho, se deja ver rápido y tiene ese tipo de comedia que puede conectar bastante si te gusta el humor incómodo, inmaduro y de gente medio fracasada tratando de sobrevivir el día, pero su mayor problema es que por momentos se siente demasiado ligera o incluso poco ambiciosa, si, hace gracia, pero no siempre construye personajes o situaciones con suficiente profundidad como para dejar huella, hay escenas que se sienten más como sketches estirados que como una serie realmente sólida, y si no conectas con el estilo de Shane Gillis, buena parte del atractivo se cae, no diría que es mala, más bien la veo como una comedia menor pero efectiva dentro de su nicho, sencilla, inconsistente, a veces muy graciosa y a veces demasiado básica.

This is a comedy where you just enjoy good jokes. A comedy made for guys and Shane's target audience. Nailed it.

Honestly up there with the funniest shows in many years. Crude, low brow, but laugh out loud hilarious.

I would compare this show to a double-layered over-the-pants handjob. it feels like it’s going somewhere but it doesn’t. during the moments where it was funny, all i could muster was a quick breath out of my nostrils. and the whole chocolate milk rumor joke was not funny. i don’t even know why that was a thing.

Fantastic show. It is remarkably innovative in that it is *actually funny*. It's amazing how that can happen when *actually being funny* is the writers' primary goal. Can't wait for season 2!

It has its moments. Some jokes hit, some miss, some are just repeats from a joke you have already heard 100 times before. Episode run time has been kept down with out feeling rushed.Willing to give season 2 a chance.

I went back on this - thank God for shorts - and I'm truly impressed. Its got all the dunb guy fun you'd expect, but also a nice bit of depth and character development. You want these guys to win yet still stay stupid and filthy.

Critic reviews can be summarily discarded - none will commit career seppuku by giving this show a fair shake. 'Tires' understands that comedy need not be yoked by threat of cancellation. Rather than stomping on eggshells for the sake of it, though, 'Tires' is crass in service of the writing room's purpose - to elicit real laughter in an era of marginalized humor.

This is a funny series that doesn't take itself too seriously. Watched the entire thing over a few days. Would recommend.

Of course it wasn't received well by mainstream ****'s actually funny and of a high quality. That's a surefire way to piss off most Hollywood critics in 2024. Not sure when they became anathema to quality and humor...past few years perhaps. I'm glad the dawg made the choice to create something good over pandering to these post 2020 philistine critics.

I wanted this to be funny. We need humor today to go back to that fine line of offside takes and non-WOKE hilariousness (made up word). I miss the George Carlin's and the Ricky Gervais's type of humor today . Comedians are held back and sorta afraid to be funny. But this show with Shane Gillis is far too juvenile to even reach the level of funniness of the mentioned comedians. I want him to work, it's just the writing needs a few more drafts instead of reading the jokes off of the napkins they were written on. Grow up. Get smart. Try again. Some giggles, but need some depth, even with low brow humor.

This show is genuinely funny. The writing is fresh and creative. I am glad it got a season 2, I would like to see what can be done with a proper budget.

What a great show! On the surface, this is low brow comedy at its best. Look a little deeper and you find a little bit of heart. Look a little deeper still and we’re back to really funny d@&$ jokes. I crave this kind of comedy. More, more, more!

This is the most abysmal unfunny show I've seen a long time. Who greenlit this bland trite?

It's great. I laughed out loud at least once every episode. Don't listen to all the "critics" trying to politicize comedy.

The characters work. They are all well characterized and different from each other. Remember those TV series of the past, "The Office" for example. It also had 6 episodes in fact. It can become a cult. It’s probably just the beginning of something even better.

Starts slow then picks up on second episode. Really hits it’s stride by episode five, however, really wish the episodes were much longer.

One of the funniest shows I've watched in a long time. While it's not perfect I think that's where some of its charm lies. It's imperfect, crude, funny and a little bit **** up, Like it was made by your buddy to make you laugh. No politics, no pseudo morals or ideological crap made to pander rather then entertain. The only fault I can find is that it it's only 6 episodes and that it's gonna take too long for me to get season 2 because I watched them all in one day. Do yourself a favour and watch this **** unless your some chick with dog brains.
