For those new to the series, Season 2’s release is the perfect opportunity to jump in, especially without the two year wait between seasons. Delivering striking action with a tasteful amount of sacrilege, Warrior Nun’s return is a quick binge absolutely worth your devotion.

Warrior Nun feels revived and reenergized as it begins the second season nobody was originally sure it would receive. There’s a lot to sort out, like Adriel’s true lineage and who will survive the continued bloodshed. But as Ava, Alba Baptista is ready to lead the charge.
Inspired by Manga novels, this 10-episode series meanders a lot while offering a "Stranger Things"-type vibe, serving as a weird diversion that, on the road to goodness, doesn't even get halfway there.
A lot hangs on Baptista, who must find enough naivety that we can believe in her transition to warrior hero, but not so much that we can’t believe in her as a hedonistic 19-year-old keen to do pills and get laid. On the evidence of the first episode, she strikes a reasonable balance, and despite some flat dialogue and a predictable plot there is an agreeable energy to Warrior Nun.
Thematically, Warrior Nun is nothing you haven't seen before, and aesthetically, nothing you ever want to see again. Bleak, dour and trudging, the series contains none of the kitschy, blasphemous fun of its title.
Warrior Nun‘s main issue is that one half of its story is just infinitely more engaging than the other. ... The saving grace of Warrior Nun‘s more tedious aspects is Baptista herself, whose performance as Ava looks effortlessly charming while still doing a ton of heavy lifting.
The script can sometimes lean too much on mythological and religious exposition as the nuns explain their mission to Ava, but the actors have such good chemistry that their various pairings—Mary and Ava, Ava and Beatrice, Mary and Lilith—work, and the smartly choreographed fight scenes are well-placed.
Warrior Nun is the rare pulpy fantasy show that knows when to lean into its silly side and when to slow down and get serious. That makes it incredibly addictive for a specific kind of action fan.
It’s occasionally delightful, thanks largely to Ms. Baptista, who is spunky, petite and bears a striking resemblance to the actress Ellen Page. But the atmosphere is co-opted wholesale from someone’s hysterical view of Catholicism, and as such it feels not profane exactly, but more than a little obvious.
I didn’t expect to get this hooked. It leans into its pulp roots but knows when to slow down and take itself seriously. Action, demons, religious conspiracies — and a lead performance from Alba Baptista that keeps everything **** looks better than many give it credit for. Filmed in Spain, it benefits from striking locations and a different visual texture than the usual dark-fantasy template. That authenticity adds ****’s not groundbreaking. Faith, powers and young-adult conflicts aren’t new ingredients. Some storylines work better than others, and a few lines of dialogue feel flat. But when it focuses on character dynamics and lets the action breathe, it’s genuinely compelling.Energetic, stylish and more thoughtful than expected.
A lot of fake 10/10 comments, coz that's what Netflix does when it starts losing ground. Automatic zero. Ofc it's the economy's fault, not that they dropped creativity to make cr@p. So this is just another teen with powers show, nothing special. The main actress has potential (cute, expressive face) but needs some (or a lot of) acting classes. If she ever manages to tone down her narcissism. Coz seducing a couple of fossil producers with her lolita looks doesn't mean she's on top of the world. On the contrary ^^
The premise somehow melds sam raimi evil dead loopy with trite "the omen" hogwash in a bearable way, first couple of episodes with alba baptista learning how to be a real girl is something I've never seen before. Young cast looks like they are having fun together. Reminds me of van helsing, overdone tropes made fresh for at least the first half season, though, beware season 2.
Definitely has potential, but would be much more entertaining without the woke commentary
"Warrior Nun" is a breath of fresh air in the crowded landscape of supernatural shows. The series tells the story of Ava, a young woman who finds herself resurrected with divine powers and a mission to fight demons. The premise may seem overdone, but "Warrior Nun" takes a unique approach that sets it apart from its peers. The show balances action, drama, and humor masterfully, with each episode leaving you on the edge of your seat. One of the standout features of "Warrior Nun" is its talented cast. Alba Baptista shines as Ava, bringing both vulnerability and strength to the character. The supporting cast is equally impressive, with each member bringing their own unique personality to the group. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, making their relationships feel genuine and endearing. The special effects and fight scenes in "Warrior Nun" are top-notch, with a level of detail and creativity that is truly impressive. The show's stunning visuals are complemented by a rich, atmospheric soundtrack that perfectly captures the tone of each scene. Overall, "Warrior Nun" is a must-watch for anyone who loves supernatural shows or action-packed dramas. Its fresh take on a tired premise, talented cast, and impressive production value make it one of the best shows of the year. With a score of 9/10, "Warrior Nun" is a standout hit that deserves your attention.
Perfect 10 I love Ava as a character and love how Her and Lilith became rivals in the series. I also love the new characters Miguel and the Samaritans.
Warrior Nun is a Amazing Show With Action & Found Family & Romance It a Extraordinary Show I Love This Show So Much ️
This show is so amazing. The first season is a bit slow, but it gives a lot of space to getting to know the characters and set up for the second season perfectly. It’s about religion, finding one’s self, chosen family, friendships, love and sexuality. It also got fighting ass-kicking nuns. This show got it all.
Another disappointing and badly written show that ticks all the woke boxes but none of the entertainment ones. This Netflix bore will only appeal to the simple folk out there who don't demand very much from their streaming shows, or probably anything for that matter - 1 star
The Season 1 had amazing build up, and Season 2 is mind blowing. The characters, the CGI, the cinematography, comedies, fight scenes, everything is just perfectly made. Best show in 2022.
One of the best shows of 2022 hands down, gorgeous cinematography, stunning acting and gripping plot 10/10 hope Netflix renews for Season 3
good fight scenes! well written story!! and great character development!!! watched for #Avatrice, stayed for the plot!!
Everyone please go watch and stream this show nonstop to get it renewed (muting doesn't count as a view) also go rate seasons on IMDB/ rotten tomatoes and metacritic. Warrior Nun is truly a rare show. It flawlessly blends an interesting plot, punchy action sequences, detailed world building, complex characters, commentary on the blurred line between science and religion together to create an incredible fantasy show, not to mention one of the best slowburn ships (sapphic or otherwise) ever seen on tv. After the recent cancellations of other sapphic content (e.g. the wilds, first kill…), a renewal would be extremely meaningful to a community that feels increasingly underrepresented and undervalued in current television media, while other mlm content such as heartstopper gets double renewals with little to no effort despite warrior nun performing better. Please help us to secure a season 3 by signing and spreading this petition to others.
This show overall is just a masterpiece no one could ever think of apart from Simon Barry. And to think that Netflix spent nothing in trying to market the show is so disappointing, really hoping for a season 3 so keep rewatching and streaming Warrior Nun season 2 on Netflix (remember muting it won’t count as a view)
i love this show sm, it has a great story and characters. wish netflix renew it, I'd recommend to everyone
Loved this show, very enjoyable, great action packed scenes, developed and detailed plot, sweet and incredible romance, it is a great series and deserves more seasons. Loved warrior nun very much.
Warrior nun, this is beyond my expectation. Mystery in the end of every episodes left me nothing but curiosity. I was dying to know what would happen next. It is unpredictable and I love it. Moreover, they have the beautiful narration and excellent edition. The actions scenes were impressively well. They were very cool and exiting. Especially SS2, it is too good. The story line , action scenes, comedy scenes and emotional expression, theme songs everything is delivered smoothly and realistically. It feels like the marvelous harmony of flavors that you will never forget when you taste the most decent food in your life. This is one of best of mankind civilizations. This is a real good show with well-written story. The character developments are great and the relationships between them are priceless. I can’t wait to see my beloved characters again. Looking forward to SS3.
A unique story with amazing characters and character progression, good cgi, PHENOMENAL fight scenes, religion vs science shenanigans, perfect balance between seriousness and humor, the best written and the most interesting protagonist I've seen in a long while, also miss Alba Baptista does a phenomenal job as Ava so that helps
The show is amazing gosh it's needs a season 3 stat!!The show is a masterpiece and the cinematography is just wow the show deserves all the hype. The characters and their development is amazing and I would love to see more of it which is why it needs a season 3 let's hope Netflix doesn't cancel another show as they do all the damn time it's actually so frustrating to watch shows and they get cancelled because of the streaming platform anyways praying and hoping we get a season 3
