In a small town in Massachusetts, four high school girls perform a ritual in an attempt to debunk the lore of Slender Man. When one of the girls goes mysteriously missing, they begin to suspect that she is, in fact, his latest victim.

并不排斥Jump Scare，但氛围全靠不开灯，吓人基本是音效，主角团全程无逻辑一个一个送实在受不了。整个故事无始无终，更像个短篇都市传说硬生生拉成长篇。瘦长鬼影作为一种隐喻（很有点变态跟踪狂的意思），本该有更好的呈现方式和主题深度（哪怕类似小丑回魂的程度也行）。恐怖桥段也几无亮点，大多是用滥的套路，图书馆一场或许还有点想法。至于模因传播导致邪恶扩散太像午夜凶铃设定了。最后，乔伊·金恐怕是得罪化妆师了……
Promising source material and a talented cast are squandered in a stale, rigidly formulaic J-horror wannabe. Slender Man equals slim pickings for all but the most undemanding devotees.
